Community Code of Conduct

Take responsibility for your contributions

If you post a comment on a matter (“Matter”) in the Community (“Community”) or contribute a Proposal (“proposal”) your contribution must ensure equality and respect for all opinions and contributions. All ensuing debates or exchanges must be respectful and validate the right of others to hold and express differing opinions, as there is no tolerance for personal attacks or abuse.

Privilege to Participate

Any member (“Member”) has the right to report any matter (“matter) that contravenes the Code of Conduct to the supervising Informarion. Violations of the code of conduct will be afforded the following concourse of action:

  1. Personal & Private - The Informarian responds directly to the reporting members complaint (“Complaint”), recording all aspects of the complaint;

  2. Mediation - The Subject of the complaint is contacted and the Informarian shares a transcript of the complaint complaint and seeks the approval to settle the matter in the mediation (“Mediation”) without penalty, or, in the event that the mediation is unsuccessful a violation is recorded and a Read Only penalty enacted;

  3. Read Only - for all violations of the Code of Conduct there is a tiered level of revocation of your right to post.

    1st time = 24hrs.

    2nd time = 7 days.

    3rd time = 28 days.

    After three violations or serious violations (serious criminal conviction 10yrs +) the Community Administrators will be instructed to immediately and indefinitely suspend (“suspension”) a member’s right to write privileges;

  4. Right of Appeal - A member may appeal a Read Only penalty or caution by submitting an appeal (“Appeal”) to the appeal panel (“Appeal Panel”) who will review the matter and considering a reduction of time in or lifting of a caution /suspension of write privilege.

No Hate Speech or Bullying

Each member has a responsibility to ensuring the safety of all other members in the community. Bullying of any kind, degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

Respect Everyone's Privacy

This is a public forum where other members can see all of your contributions. Being part of this community requires mutual trust, therefore authentic, expressive discussions are encouraged at all times.
You can communicate with your Informarian directly if you wish to discuss the anonymous publication of sensitive and confidential information. Every Informarian is bound by the Informarian Code of Practice (“Informarian Code of Practice”) and the community Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”).

Public posting to external sites, such as social media, that contains any material that identifies another member may only be done with the express consent (“Consent”) of that individual member or members participating in the matter (“Matter”).

Be Kind and Courteous

We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment, so let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

No Promotions or Spam

Give more to this group than you take. Commercial self-promotion, spam, non-contextual contributions, or irrelevant hyperlinks aren't allowed and are subject to your Privilege to Participate (“Privilege to Participate”).
